From the dust-choked roads of Mississippi to the gritty streets of Toronto, his characteristic edgy style is based on traditions of blues, country and rockabilly— with notable results: he was named Instrumentalist of the Year by the Durham Music Society and second in Toronto Blues Society's Talent Search.
